CAROLINA CIDER COMPANY
Re-brand, Brand Guide, Stationary, Package Design, Typography and Signage Design
A rebrand was requested of this South Carolina institution and roadside attraction. The new logo had to relate to the old while retaining a vintage appeal. A woodcut-style illustration relates to the old logo, while a more natural oval encapsulates vintage, rough hewn typography on a dark background which adds contrast, and emphasizes the central illustration. The brand was implemented from everything from stationary to signage.
The packaging design utilizes parchment paper as a vintage-inspired background, adorned with handwritten canned goods and cider flavors, enhancing the artisanal appeal with a personalized, handcrafted touch.
Secondary signage for Carolina Cider Co. acts as a layered narrative, utilizing a varied array of typography and rich color schemes to deepen the nostalgic ambiance and enhance brand immersion. Integrating secondary vintage typography further emphasizes the brand’s heritage, with fonts reminiscent of bygone eras, adding a distinct charm to product information and brand storytelling — all while maintaining perfect legibility from a distance, a crucial requirement for this creative assignment.
